A short history of the holy Bible 1492

A SHOT  HISTORY OF THE  HOLY BIBLE  1492
it is the original  form. The men  who wrote it  did so with  much  labor just
as letters  are now written, and  on the things  which were  used  by them
just as  we use paper. No until the great art of printing  way discovered
was it possible  to get  a Bible  such  as we have.Instead readers of the Bible
used  many thousands  of written pages , kept  carefully  found together
of these there were  many copies , but not nearly  enough to go around  among
those who visited  to possess a copy.
the men who write  the Bible  used  two or three different languages . In the
old testament the older most  were written  in Hebrew
the new testament was written in  a form  of the Greek language
from these languages the Bible has been translated  into almost every known
tongue
the growth  of the Bible from two collection of smaller books into one grand whole
was very slow but god  so directed the minds of men that they  finally did  the words
and  did it well. This was called  forming the canon  of  scripture.
canon  is a word which means  rod or rule
the term applied  to the Bible means that it is the rule  or form of god´s  word to minking
in other words , the way  god wants man  to read  what god  has  to say to him.
the canon  of the old testament  was formed  first . This was done by the jews four
hundred years  before  christ  was born.led  by divine guidance, jewish scholas gathered
together  all of Isrrael´s  sacred writing  and developed  one complete word..After the
death  of jesus , God led men to write  the gospels and letters that would  someday
become the new testament .Religious councils  met and discussed  the writing s over
several  hundred  years  before the final  canon was agreed  upon  and  became  arranged
in its  presentb form
of course  there have been  many different  transtations  of the Bible
the first  ones were made  into Greek and Latin..From the best  of these  one called  the
septuaaght . made  at Alexandria , Egypt, about  270B.C BECAME THE IMPORTANT
source  document.
the chapter and verse  were subdivisions of the Bible , the descriptive headings  of chapters
and the presence of italics, or sloping letters , in the text , did not  exist in the original.
the division into  chapters  , which  was for greater  ease  of reading  and quotation, was made
in the thirteeth century  by cardinal Hugo  or  archibishop Langton.
at  a later period , probably 1551..one Robert shephers  made the division into verses .
they are very imperfect and sometimes greatly obscure the meaning. The presence  of italics
is due  to the fact that  in many  instances  it was  necessary to introduce  words  to make
cleara meaning which could not  be translated  easily or to supply deficiencieles due  to
diferences  in  language.

        psalme 23
THE LORD  IS MY SHEPHERD , I SHALL NOT WANT
2 HE MAKETH  ME TO  LIE DOWN IN GREEN POSTURES
HE LEADETH  ME  BESIDE  THE STILL WATER
3) HE RESTORETH  MY SOUL
HE LEATH  ME  IN THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
FOR HIS NAME´S  SAKE.
4) YEA , THOUGH I WALJK THROUGH THE VALLEY  OF
THE SHADOW OF  DEATH. i I WILL FEAR NO  EVIL FOR THOU
AND  WITH  ME ,THY  ROD  AND  THY  STUFF  THEY CONFORT ME.
5) THOU PREPAREST   A TABLE  BEFORE  ME  IN THE PRESENCE
OF  MINE ENEMIES THOU ANOINT EST  MY HEAD  WITH  OIL, MY CUP
RUNNTH  OVER
6) SURELY  GOODNESS  ARE MERCY  SHALL FOLLOW ME  ALL
THE DAYS   OF MY LIFE AND  I WILL  DWELL  IN THE  HOUSE  OF THE
LORD  FOR EVER

this psalm  means  that if  we put god first
and do  the things  that he  commands  he
will always  be  with  us  no matter how
difficult the situation is

Unit 2

Modal Verbs. Degrees of certainty Grammar Explanation We use modals of certainty to make deductions or assumptions, that is, to make judgments and opinions about a situation in the present. These modal verbs are: must, can't/couldn't, should/ought to, may, might and could. We use must when we have reasons to be sure of something. We use can't/couldn't when we think something is impossible. We use should/ ought to where we think something is quite sure and have a big possibility of happening. Might, may and could are used in situations where the speaker is not sure of the deduction or assumption he makes due to lack of information or because it is not evident. Examples: MUST Subject + must + infinitive He is a biologist, he must know a lot about animals. CAN'T This jacket can't belong to Mike. It's too small. SHOULD/OUGHT TO She should be here soon.
